Message I do not know about anything ever being said about a ASH ECU not working with a Selin unit.
What might have been said is that a single pop tune does not change the A/F when installing a Selin Unit.
Dual pop programs have been written to work better with certain configurations......
The JWT dual pop program was written for the configuration with the low speed drive-ability kit and two separated filters with elbows. When going to true dual MAF with the Selin unit , it does effect the tune and the A/F does change.
The ASH program that was written for the Ash Duals is also written different and does change the tune when running seperated dual maf's rather than the ASH X design.
I have found that running the Selin unit with a dual program does change the A/F when compaired to a single MAF being used for a dual pop program.
No matter who's program anyone runs they should check the A/F on the car. I find different MAF's change the A/F as the sensitivity on these older meters is not always the same. They can still be good meters and change the A/F readings by as much as a full point.
Also it is amazing how many cars have boost leaks and all the different injectors being used now also vary in tune.
I could go on for days on this subject, but bottom line always check A/F!
